St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai is a private roman catholic college affiliated with the University of Mumbai. The college has been ranked as India’s No.1 private autonomous college by Education World for the second year in a row.

The college offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Certificate, and Diploma programs in the fields of Arts, Science, Business, and Commerce. Admission to these courses is both merit and entrance-based. The cut-off for the entrance exam conducted by the college ranges between 92-98 percentile for the general category students.

Admission

St. Xavier’s college offers a 3-year duration BMM course with a seating capability of 60 students. The most basic eligibility criteria for taking admission into the college course is to complete a 10+2 class level board examination from a recognized board. However, the candidates must have not secured less than 65% in the aggregate of the qualifying examination. Final selection to the St. Xavier’s BMM course is granted on the basis of merit scores achieved by the candidates in the entrance exam conducted by St. Xavier’s College. 

Placements

St. Xavier's College is conducting a placement drive for the class of 2022, and a  student has been offered a job worth INR 30 LPA. Companies from a variety of industries, including banking, consulting, marketing, and finance, made job offers. This year, the salary was increased by INR 2 to 4 lakhs.

In comparison to 2020, there was a 30% increase in the highest and average CTC offered in 2020-21. Students received packages ranging from INR 15 LPA to INR 22 LPA. This year, almost 650 students were placed.

For the year 2020, approximately 900 students registered in various courses participated in the placement drive, with D.E. offering the highest CTC of INR 21 LPA whereas the average CTC was INR 6 LPA.
