JEE Advanced 2025 is the national level entrance examination for admission to Under Graduate programs in IITs, Indian Institutes of Technology. It is the second step after clearing of JEE Main and is conducted by one of the IITs in rotation in accordance with the directions of JAB(Joint Admission Board).

The exams assess competence in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics via two Papers sat by all candidates in Computer-Based Test (CBT) formats. To be eligible for admission into a top ranked IIIT, one must be a top rank holder in the JEE Main examination, as well as meet other essential parameters such as age, or number of attempts. The date for examination and any other important information regarding the examination will be available on the official website of JEE Advanced.

JEE Advanced 2025 - Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2025 are as follows:

Performance in JEE Main 2025 BS+MS=Mtech program: Only candidates who have qualified the JEE Main 2025 and getting the required cut-off marks of JEE Main 2025 will be eligible to appear the JEE Advanced 2025.
Age Limit
  • To be eligible to participate, a candidate must be born after the 1st of October 2000.
     
  • For SC/ST/PwD category applicants, the age is relaxed up to 5 Years From 01/10/1995.
Number of Attempts The JEE Advanced exam can be attempted two times in consecutive year by a candidate.
Educational Qualification Interested candidate should be of 2023 or 2024 batch, and must have cleared their 12th standard exams, or the equivalent. The candidates who could appear for Class 12 examination in the year 2025 are also eligible.
JEE Main 2025 Rank Candidates must be within 2.5 lakh (combined with all categories) in JEE Main 2025 to do JEE Advanced 2025.
Earlier Admission at IITs Any candidate who has already been admitted to any IITs in any undergraduate programme (from JEE Advanced) cannot appear for JEE Advanced 2025.
Number of Subjects in Class 12
  • The candidate should have passed five subjects as a Composite Course in Standard XII or equivalent.
  • Qualification must be recognized by CBSE / State Board / Central Government as equivalent to Std XII.
  • Candidates with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) in Std. XII are also eligible to apply.
Other Conditions There are other criterion-related requirements as well that depend on the category to which a candidate belongs OBC-NCL, SC/ST etc. Besides, there is additional eligibility criteria that candidates from certain states of the United States have got to complete.

 

 

JEE Advanced 2025 - Exam Pattern

 

The JEE Advanced 2025 exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. These two papers are required of all candidates and will be set in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format. Every paper will be of 3 hours’duration only and shall consist of MCQ and rough guess or in other words NAT type questions only. The exam will also pose the candidates knowledge in Physics, chemistry, and Mathematics.

JEE Advance 2025 - Admit Card

The JEE Advanced 2025 admit card will be released online in May in the official website of the conducting authority. Here's what you need to know.

Admit Card Release:

The admit card will be available shortly for those candidates who are only registered and are found eligible for the exam. It is obtained by bringing your credentials to the official JEE Advanced website for downloads.

What’s on the Admit Card:

Your name, your roll number, photograph, signature, date of examination, time of examination and center particulars.

Important exam instructions.

You will be required to turn up to the exam centre, with a printed determination and a valid photo identification card.

JEE Advance 2025 - Cutoff

The JEE Advanced 2024 cut-off marks decide the candidates’ fate of joining the IITs. Some requirements include minimum subject-wise percentage and aggregate percentage based on category of the candidate. Here is the cut off of 2024.
