The AYUSH postgraduate admission entrance test named AIAPGET at the national level provides access to postgraduate study across medicine systems of Ayurveda Homeopathy and Unani and Siddha. As a yearly event AIAPGET is managed by the National Testing Agency (NTA). AIAPGET serves as the entrance requirement for obtaining admission to PG AYUSH programs in recognized Indian colleges for qualified candidates.

Traditional Indian medicine students need to pass the test as their primary pathway to develop career opportunities. Passing AIAPGET allows students to gain academic and clinical career opportunities as awareness about AYUSH practices continues to rise together with increased demand.

AIAPGET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

AIAPGET 2025 eligibility requires candidates to have a BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, or BSMS degree from a recognized institution with a completion of compulsory internship before the deadline.

Minimum Qualification

Candidates must hold a degree in BAMS, BHMS, BSMS, BUMS, or an equivalent recognized qualification in their respective AYUSH discipline.

Required Certificates

Applicants should have a valid or provisional pass certificate in BAMS, BHMS, BSMS, or BUMS as per the IMCC 1970 or HCC 1973 regulations.

Registration Certificate

A permanent or provisional registration certificate from the respective AYUSH medical board or recognized university is mandatory.

Internship Requirement

Candidates must have completed a one-year internship or be expected to finish it on or before October 31, 2025.

Number of Attemts

There is no restriction on the number of attempts. Aspirants can take the exam multiple times until they qualify.

Age Limit

There is no upper age limit to apply for the AIAPGET 2025 examination.

AIAPGET Cutoff

The AIAPGET 2025 cutoff is the minimum mark you need to pass the exam and take part in counselling for MD, MS, or PG Diploma courses in AYUSH. The cutoff changes every year based on things like how tough the exam was, how many students appeared, and how many seats are available. Different cutoffs are released for Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Siddha, and Unani. You must score equal to or more than the cutoff to move ahead in the admission process.

AIAPGET Counselling

The candidates who achieve passing scores in the AIAPGET 2025 results proceed to the counselling stage. At this stage students select and claim seats for MD MS and PG Diploma program curriculum within Ayurveda Homeopathy Siddha or Unani courses. The entire admission management is conducted online through the AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC). Candidates need to register, choose their preferred colleges and courses, and then seats are given based on rank, choices, and seat availability. There may be multiple rounds of counselling if seats remain vacant.
