The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell administers MHT CET 2025 as the entrance examination for state-based engineering and pharmacy and agricultural institutes. The examination operates through a computer-based system to assess candidates who select between the PCM (Physics Chemistry Mathematics) or PCB (Physics Chemistry Biology) subjects. Candidates complete the examination by answering 200-mark questions while negative marking is not possible.
Candidates have two testing sessions for the PCB exam which occur between April 9th and April 17th with exception to dates April 10th and April 14th. The PCM examination will proceed between April 19th and April 27th but not on April 24th. Candidates should access the detailed syllabus together with exam pattern through cetcell.mahacet.org. The examination authorities aim to announce additional information about the exam in the near future.

Why do I Need to Take the Exam?
The MHT CET exam is a key entrance test for admission to B.Tech, B.E., and B. Pharmacy programs in Maharashtra colleges and universities. It holds similar importance to JEE Main, as students who qualify for JEE Main can skip the MHT CET exam and proceed directly to the counselling process.
