DPSRU

Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU) is the first Pharmacy University in India and third in the world. dpsru established in 1964 and established by Act 07 of 2008 State legislature of Delhi and functional from 2015. Currently it has around 2600 students with 90 faculty and 136 supporting staff members, offering over 4 certificate, 3 diploma, 7 undergraduate, 24 postgraduate, and 8 doctoral programs.

In DPSRU, the admissions in UG courses are based on merit from the last qualifying exam while for PG programs like M.Pharm admissions are based on GPAT scores and MBA in Pharmaceutical Management requires CUET scores and All other eligibility criteria as mentioned in Prospectus for PG admissions will be followed. An entrance exam is conducted by the institute for PhD admissions.

Full time Courses

 UG Admission

At undergraduate level DPSRU offers course B.Pharm, B.Pharm (Lateral), BPT, BBA in Healthcare and Bachelor in Sports Science.Candidate should have to complete 10+2 with 55% marks aggregate in PCB Or PCM and English from a respective state / central government authorities recognized board. UG Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for the DPSRU UG program are as follows:

• Admission to undergraduate courses at DIPSAR is based on merit as per norms set by the Delhi State Govt.
• The candidate has to fill out the online application form to register for admission on the official website.
• A candidate seeking admission to B. Pharm. Lateral Entry (to Second Year/ Third semester) must
  have passed D. Pharm course as per PCI norms.
• 5% relaxation will be given to SC/ST/ OBC/ Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates seeking admission.

 PG Admission 2024

At postgraduate level DPSRU offers course M.Pharm and MBA in Pharmaceutical Management in various specializations. Candidate should have to complete bachelor's in pharmacy or a bachelor's in life science with at least 55% aggregate marks. Admissions will be made through the candidate's score on the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) for M.Pharm and CUET for MBA in Pharmaceutical Management. PG Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for the DPSRU PG program are as follows:

• M.Pharm: Selection is based on the score obtained in GPAT, followed by counselling.
• MBA in Pharmaceutical Management: DPSRU MBA in Pharmaceutical Management program selection criteria include clearing CUET followed by counselling. 
• There is no Scholarship provision for GPAT qualified students.
• It is mandatory to submit a migration certificate obtained from the respective University where the candidate had passed his/her qualifying degree.
• It is also mandatory to submit mark sheet (provisional mark sheet from the University permitted) at the time of submission of application.
• 5% relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC/Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates seeking admission.

Diploma Admission

DPSRU Admission to D.Pharm will be done based on the norms set by the institute. D.Pharm is a two-year program in which 120 seats are available for admission. The key highlights of DPSRU Diploma Admission are as follows:

 Diploma Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for DPSRU Diploma program are based on the following points.

• Admission to D.Pharm at DPSRU is based on merit and fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
• Besides that, the candidate has to fill out the online application form to register on the official website.
• 5% relaxation will be given to SC/ST/ OBC/ Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates seeking admission.
• The candidate having supplementary/ compartment in the qualifying examination shall not be eligible for admission in the University teaching department.

 PhD Admission

DPSRU offers doctoral-level courses in Pharmacy. Candidates who have obtained a Master’s in Pharmacy are eligible to apply. As per the university guidelines, candidates will be admitted through the college entrance exam. According to the UGC guidelines, students who have obtained a fellowship from any recognized institution are exempt from the entrance exam. 

DPSRU Placement

A total of 125 out of 288 students were placed during  placement  2021, according to the NIRF report 2022. The average salary throughout Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research ranged from Rs  4.20 LPA for undergraduate students (4 years) to Rs  5.60 LPA for graduate students (2 years).

Students have exclusive hostels for boys and girls with spacious, comfortable, well-furnished rooms and a 24-hour security system. A new PG block for girl’s hostel has been created along with the existing ones. A fully air-conditioned study hall and an IT room are in the pipeline.

    PG SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship is awarded to full time GPAT qualified students admitted to M.Pharmacy and MBA courses in AICTE approved courses of DIPSAR & SPS of DPSRU @Rs. 12,400/- PM/ student for 24 Months.

✓ AICTE DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP (ADF)

Admitting full time meritorious research scholars by providing research fellowship whowants to seek admission to Ph.D. in AICTE approved Technical Institutes/University
Departments for carrying out research in thrust areas.

✓ PRAGATI SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship/Contingency is awarded to meritorious girls taking admission in AICTE approved Technical institution at Degree/ Diploma courses of DPSRU.Total 10000 scholarship are given @ Rs 50000 as incidentals each year.

✓ SAKSHAM SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship/Contingency is awarded to Differently abled students taking admission in AICTE approved Technical institution at Degree/ Diploma courses of DPSRU. Scholarship is given @ Rs 50000 as incidentals each year.

✓ PRIME MINISTER’S SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME – PMSSS

Objective of the Scheme is to build up capacities in youth of J&K and Ladakh, educate,enable and empowering them to compete in normal course, enhancing and boosting
employment potentials in students of J&K. Total 5000 scholarship are given @ Rs. 100000/- as Maintenance Charges and academic fee as Rs. 30000/- to General Degree, Rs. 125000/- to Engineering Degree & Rs. 300000/- to Medical Degree each year. DPSRU is an AICTE approved centre to offer B.Pharmacy seats to J&K and Ladakh students through AICTE.
