From the official website of Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) the CLAT 2025 Counselling schedule is yet to be published. Any person with the above qualifications will have an opportunity for joining the subsequent counselling sessions. The CLAT 2025 Cut-Off will also be available on the official website of the Consortium of National Law Universities at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Earlier the Consortium had put up the CLAT 2025 Exam Calendar in its web site. But it is in the process to announce the new revised schedule of the CLAT 2025 Counselling Dates.

The order was made by the single bench of the Hon’ble Delhi High Court to review the Merit List that has been published on December 7, 2024., according to the official notification of the Consortium. However, the division bench of the Delhi High Court upheld the decision of the single bench of the Delhi High Court when the Consortium filed an appeal to this division bench. The Consortium has now decided to file the appropriate petition at Supreme Court earliest as possible in view vacation at present.

What is CLAT Exam?

Common Law Admission Test earlier know as CLAT is a common law entrance examination from UG and PG courses in all over India. NLUs have been organizing it on an annual basis mainly with the objective of analysing the trends and principles of the law of the country.

CLAT offers the merit admission to Under-Graduate Programme known as Integrated LL B Programme and Post Graduate Programme known as LLM Programme. UG:35 participating NLUs and 21 NLUs for PG programmes here in BDU University. Some of the best NUJs include, NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, WBNUJS Kolkata and NLU Jodhpur.

The exam is written, that is taken on paper, with the use of a pen. UG candidates are faced with tests in English, Current Affairs and General Knowledge, Legal and Logical Reasoning, Mathematics. The subjects offered in the PG examination are Constitution Law, Jurisprudence, Torts, IPC, CrPC, CPC, Family Law, IPR and others.

Upon having appeared for CLAT, a candidate can secure admission in any of the NLUs. In addition to the NLUs:

  • Sixty one Private affiliated Colleges in India also accept CLAT Score. But you can check the full list on the web.
  • Various public sector organizations such as ONGC and BHEL utilise CLAT-PG scores in order to hire students.

What is CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2025?

To fill the CLAT 2025 application form, the candidate must be aware of the eligibility criteria first. The requirements for UG and PG courses are as follows:

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have completed their Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board.

Minimum Marks Required:

  • General/OBC candidates: At least 45% marks.
  • SC/ST candidates: At least 40% marks.

Age limit:

There is no upper limit for UG Courses.

Appearing Candidates:

students who are going to write their Class 12 examination in the year 2025 they are also eligible as per merit score which they obtain at the time of admission.

To register for CLAT 2025, you have to visit the official website of Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). Below are the important details:

Steps to Register:

  1. Visit the Official Website:
    Go to consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
  2. Create an Account:
    Enter your email ID and mobile number to register. A login ID and password will be generated.
  3. Fill the Application Form:
    Log in to your account and provide personal details, academic information, and preference for NLUs.
  4. Upload Documents:
    Upload scanned copies of your passport-sized photograph, signature, and any required certificates in the specified format.
  5. Pay the Application Fee:
    Make the payment online using net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI.

  • General/OBC/PwD/NRI Candidates: ₹4,000
  • SC/ST/BPL Candidates: ₹3,500
